![]() Is this Pittsburgh, PA? And where are you moving from? My response is going to assume yes it's PA, and that you're moving from far enough away you cannot keep your current job. ![]() Should I just go for it, then when I come back focus my efforts on saving up some more money and put more time into researching trying to move, or forego the trip and put everything I have into just trying to make the move to Pittsburgh? Crossposting this in hopes people can give some input, thank you. I wouldn't be spending all or even most of the money I have saved up, but it would still cause a hit to my funds to do it. The reason I am thinking about doing this soon is that I figured I'd have an easier time getting into an entry level job here with pay that would at least let me sustain myself due to me being a real hard worker willing to grind and give it my all at my job, and employers likely to be hiring due to increased demand for people willing to work entry level jobs.Īnother thing to consider which I also wanted to ask, is I thought about going on a big trip to someplace I've always wanted to go to for years. I'd just like to know if it's feasible to be able to move to Pittsburgh and build a life here with the information I've given about my situation, or am I being unrealistic? I came here to ask because I need a straight non biased answer, and I figure this sub would be able to give me that. I know and accept the fact doing a move like this will be hard, my life hasn't been easy so I'm not expecting things to be a breeze here. I'd be fine with living in something like say a 1 bedroom studio apartment, nothing fancy.I have no college degree and can't drive.I work at an entry level job that I've had for a couple years now.No credit history, but also no debt, basically a blank slate.I've had a rough time in my life and wanted to try and turn things around(not drugs and I have no criminal background, it's other stuff), and thought of the possibility of moving someplace and making a fresh start. I was thinking about moving to Pittsburgh but needed some help in figuring out if I can actually do it.
